Business systems

Software that fits how your business actually runs.

Most businesses outgrow their tools and fill the gaps with spreadsheets, paper and memory. A system built around your workflow takes that weight off the day.

04 How a project works

01 / The problem

You already know where the friction is.

It is the thing everyone works around. The spreadsheet nobody wants to touch, the calendar that lives in one person's head, the same question answered on the phone eleven times a week.

Phone tag for every booking

Customers book the right slot themselves, around the clock, and the calendar stays correct.

Five spreadsheets, one answer

The numbers you check every morning, pulled together on one screen.

Customers calling for status

A private portal where they can see their order, their files and where things stand.

The spreadsheet nobody dares touch

A tool built for the way your team already works, that does not break when someone sorts a column.

The same steps, done differently by everyone

One path through the work, so the fifth job of the week goes like the first.

Records in three places

One searchable place for customers, jobs, equipment or locations, with a history you can trust.

02 / What it looks like

Plain screens that answer one question each.

Good internal software is boring in the best way. It opens fast, it shows the number you came for, and it does not make you think about the software. The illustration here is a simplified sketch of that idea, not a product screenshot.

  • Built for the browser, so there is nothing to install
  • Works on the laptop at the desk and the phone in the truck
  • Only the fields your business actually uses
  • Your branding, so it feels like part of the business

03 / What we build

The tools businesses ask us for most.

Booking and scheduling
Customers pick a real available slot. You stop rebuilding the week every Monday morning.
Dashboards and reporting
The handful of figures that tell you how the business is doing, in one place, current.
Customer and client portals
A private login where your customers see their own orders, documents and progress.
Databases and record management
Customers, jobs, equipment, properties or locations, searchable and kept in one place.
Internal tools
The small application your team needs and no off the shelf product quite covers.
Forms and intake
Requests arrive complete and organised instead of as a voicemail and a photo.
Workflows
The same steps happen the same way every time, with nothing depending on sticky notes.

04 / How a project works

It starts with the problem, not the technology.

We would rather sit with how the work actually happens than arrive with a product to sell you. Most of the value is in getting the first part right.

  • Walk through the current process, including the workarounds
  • Agree the smallest version that removes the real friction
  • Build it, put it in front of the people who will use it, adjust
  • Add the next piece once the first one is earning its keep

Questions

System questions we get asked.

We just use spreadsheets. Is a custom system overkill?

Usually not, and spreadsheets are the normal starting point. The question is whether the spreadsheet is costing you time or accuracy. If people are afraid to edit it, or you keep rebuilding the same report, that is the signal.

Will it work how we already work, or do we have to change?

It is built around your process. Where we suggest a change, it is because the current step exists to work around a tool, not because the software would prefer it.

Who can use it, and on what?

It runs in a browser, so it works on the computers and phones you already have, with nothing to install. Who can see what is decided when we map out the roles.

What about our data?

Your data stays yours, in a system built for your business rather than shared with other companies. We will walk through where it lives and who can reach it before anything is built.

What does a custom system cost?

It depends entirely on scope, and a first useful version is usually smaller than people expect. Describe the friction and we will tell you what it would take to remove it.

Describe the part that slows you down.

Tell us what the workaround is. If software is not the right answer, we will say so.
